17000 ft Foundation

17000 ft Foundation is dedicated to improving education in the remotest and toughtest villages of the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR). By strengthening the existing systems, 17000 ft aims to stem the desperate exodus of the indigenous communities to faraway cities.

Programs focus on improving education in Govt. Schools, creating livelihood opportunities, and generating exposure through interactions with the outside world. Today, the work spans Leh & Kargil districts of Ladakh, North & East districts of Sikkim. We aim to impact other similarly remote, inaccessible areas of the Indian Himalayan Region in the coming years.

Mission

To transform the lives of high altitude frontier communities to develop them into self-sustaining, resilient and thriving regions.

Vision

A world where geography and distances offer no barriers to opportunity and growth.
